The 18th International Conference on Knowledge Engineering and Knowledge Management is concerned with all aspects of eliciting, acquiring, modeling and managing knowledge, and its role in the construction of knowledge-intensive systems and services for the semantic web, knowledge management, e-business, natural language processing, intelligent information integration, etc. The focus of the 18th edition of EKAW will be on "Knowledge Engineering and Knowledge Management that matters".
Besides a research track, EKAW will feature a tutorial, workshop and a doctoral symposium program, as well as a poster and demo track. The proceedings of the conference will be published by Springer Verlag in the LNCS series. Poster notes and workshop/tutorial notes will be published separately in a companion booklet.
The conference will take place in Galway, Ireland at the Aula Maxima located in the National University of Ireland, Galway Quadrangle from October 8-12, 2012.

Di.me is taking the advantage of EKAW for its dissemination by participating as a "Gold” Sponsorship. Thank to that, di.me is setting up an exhibition booth to explain the main innovative developments of the project to the audience, by letting them to try a di.me application prototype. Attendees will also receive information of the project in their conference bags.
Furthermore, di.me project is holding a presentation on Friday, Octuber, the 12th, in the framework of the event.
