AMETIC, in collaboration with UPM, organizes the 4th Edition of a Summer School in La Granja de San Ildefonso from 9th to 11th of July. This year, the summer school takes place under the theme "ICT in the new socio-economic environment: Driving force of economic recovery and employment”.
The event counts on excellent lectures by practitioners and academics. It deals with the state of the art of what is meant by telecommunications, internet or media. Apart from lectures, round tables will be held, allowing wide discussions from different points of view.
On the first day, CEO's major companies will present their reflections in the context of ICT and its internationalization. Next days, the context of the summer school will tackle about three main current concerns:

The Internet World. As a driving force of social, cultural and economic expansion, the internet has become a paradigm of a connected global society, where both content creation and distribution play a key role.

Internationalization and Globalization.

The role of Telecommunications today.
In this context, current topics as cloud computing, smart cities, digital content or digital identity will be discussed. Moreover, high political aspects as the Spanish Digital Agenda will be addressed.
Di.me Participation
Di.me has reached the equator of its development and it is now time to make a first validation. During the course, attendees will be asked to evaluate an app prototype, provided with basic utilities, in order to give valuable assistance to the development of the project.
