Researchers from DERI, University of Siegen and Barcelona Digital have met Sebastian Labitzke, a researcher at De-centralized Systems and Network Group of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

Labitzke’s research is focused in areas around Digital Identity Management on Social Networks and Social Network Linkability. The topic deals on how disaggregated personal data on separate Online Social Networks can be correlated to identify the individuals behind the digital identities, and which are the implications and risks that may potentially arise.

After reviewing latest findings from Labitzke's work, researchers have discussed on how the topics of Identity, Privacy and Social Network Integration are being addressed in the di.me project, and how the outcomes of the project can become relevant within the Social Networking research arena.
