Abstract
This document describes the results of task 2.1 that as part of the overall design process focussed on the collection of the user requirements. This collection was done in several phases, evolving the predefined scenarios in the DoW iteratively into the requirements needed for the implementation of the di.me userware. These requirements were defined in the form of use cases describing the interactions between the user and the userware.
Part of the definition of these use cases was also the descriptions of core concepts, which help finding a common ground during development for the project partners. Additionally so called personas, descriptions of typical users, were created that represent the major user groups that di.me wants to address. Overall the user requirements provide the framework for the further development of the di.me userware to create a system that respects the needs of the users.
